FAQ’s About This Tour

Take a look at the Frequently Asked Questions about the NuLu Food & History tour.

You’ll be eating quite a bit – please arrive hungry! In total, you’ll be making 6-7 stops and sampling 8 delicious items. You will be very full by the end of the tour, so plan to skip dinner or eat something light.

In addition to the food, there are a total of 4 small alcoholic drinks on this tour.

Yes! Even without drinking, you’ll have a great time, eat plenty of delicious food and enjoy fascinating stories about Louisville’s history.

This tour ends about a block away from where it begins, and our tour guide will make sure you know exactly where to go to get back to your car.

On this tour, we are easily able to accommodate vegetarians and individuals with nut allergies. For other food allergies, we will do our best but you may miss out on eating at some stops that don’t offer anything on their menu to fit your needs. (For instance, this is a particularly difficult tour to adjust for gluten free guests.) Please indicate your food restrictions when you book your ticket.

Yes, there is one difference. The 1 PM tour visits Muth’s Candies, but the 1:30 PM tour does not. Guests on both tours will enjoy two delicious confections from Muth’s, but the 1:30 PM tour will not have the opportunity to shop inside the store. We recommend that 1:30 tour guests visit Muth’s before the tour to shop for sweet treats and gifts as it will be closed by the time your tour finishes. It’s only a block away from the starting point of your tour!

Yes! Both Angel’s Envy Distillery and Rabbit Hole Distillery are located in NuLu just a few walkable blocks away from the start and end of our tour. Angel’s Envy is open late and will be easiest to visit after the tour is over. Rabbit Hole closes at 5 PM, so you won’t have much time after our tour ends at 4 – I’d suggest visiting before the tour instead. Be sure to book your bourbon distillery tour early to make sure you get a slot, they do book out well in advance!

Unfortunately, not all of our restaurant partners are open during the week. We picked the best restaurants to feature on the NuLu tour, and our tour can only run as often as our wonderful restaurant partners are able to accommodate us.

Children are welcome to join this tour! That said, there is a lot of walking, standing and listening, and our menu includes some food that contains alcohol. Children under 2 who will be sharing food with their parents do not need a ticket.

You’ll find lots of free street parking close to the starting point of the tour!
